How It Works
On your first visit, we try to narrow down the design to a few concepts. If you don’t know exactly what you want, that’s fine! In many cases, you’ll have a few ideas of what you like and haven’t liked. We’ll start with all the elements that you know you want. For example, in this case, we knew we wanted a twist, diamonds on one strand, a round centre stone. So from that, we have some options of concepts.
If your piece is going to be an engagement ring, you’ll need to select a centre diamond as well. I can get some loose stones for us to have a close look at. It’s essential that you come to view your diamond, as this is such an important part of fine jewellery. To understand more about selecting diamonds for an engagement ring, see here.
Turn around time varies from one piece to another. Some can be done in just a couple days! Others may take up to 6 weeks. Usually turn around time for a fully custom piece takes around 3-4 weeks.
As soon as you leave a deposit, I’ll get started!
Lastly, by law, it needs to be hallmarked at the London Assay Office. The hallmark includes the makers mark, the Standard Mark showing the fineness of the metal used, the Assay Office mark showing where is was hallmarked and a letter representing what year it was made.
Next, it’s yours!
